So here are my tentative plans for my return to Oregon. I will be at my mom's house the 1st, 2nd and either leave the 3rd or the 4th. Sorry Colin I have to got there first. I will head out from there. Maybe I can stop by Colin's house around the 3rd or the 4th ( if that is ok with Colin) From there I will head to Corvallis and see my brother and then head to Eugene for the 7th , 8th and 9th leaving for Cali on the 10th. That is my plan and if anyone has anything different to say about it please let me know. I am up for just about anything. I am not trying to invite myself anywhere I am just throwing out ideas.

That is the day that I will fly home. I will arrive at PDX early afternoon. I am going to head over to Astoria for a few days like I said in my previous post. After that I really don't know what my plans are. I will go to Corvallis to my brother's but that's about it. I guess I'll go to Nathan's house around 7th since he offered. I am just hoping that Colin is not gone and that Derek is not working for his slave master Safeway. I'll probably just leave on the 10th of September and try to make it down for Kerri's birthday. We'll see. Okinawa has been awesome and the last three years have really flown by, but I am so ready to be back in the states. I will come back here again some day but for now it's good by fried rice, hello fried chicken.

... I'll be home in a month (Kerri leaves in a week). I will be back in the good ol' US of A on September 1st. I'll fly into Sea-Tac and from there I will head to Astoria. I will spend a few days there before I head to Corvallis to get my truck from Nick and then I will head to Cali. If anyone has any detour plans let me know. I really don't have too much planed as long as I am in California by September 10th (Kerri's B-Day). Of course this is all subject to change due to the military's unrelenting incompetence in administrative duties. I will keep everyone up date to the more I find out.

Say hello to my little mid-life crisis

Well turning thirty happened only a few weeks ago and I think I have made my first mid-life crisis purchase. This is the Harley Davidson Sportswear 1200N Nightser. I will be having this American made 1200cc bad ass delivered to my next duty station. I can't wait. I know that this is so out of the blue and so not Jeremy B, but I really can't wait to jump on and hit the road on this son of a bitch.

On a different subject, I will be getting surgery for a possible abdominal hernia on May 29th. It will be a no big deal and I get to take drugs. So it looks like I come out on top.

Well I have some OK news. I found out I will not be getting recruiting orders after all. Instead I will be an instructor at the MOS school that I went to in 98' and 03'. It will actually be a better job for me. Recruiting was going to be a big drain on me. First off the hours would have been long (18 hour days, 6 days a week) and I would have only gotten X-mas (solstice for Nathan) off. Plus it would have been a hard fight just to get America's youth to join the military during a very unpopular time. Now I will be working only 5 days a week, I will be home at 4:30 everyday and I will get all holidays off. I know that it would have been cool living in P-Town but this will be very beneficial for me. I will now have time to work on getting my bachelors degree and I will also be buying a house. I am trying to get out of here mid August. So in the long and short run this will be a real great deal for me.

I went out the weekend before last and I got my advanced open water dive certification. I am now allowed to dive up to 130 feet. I went out to the Karamas islands just south of Okinawa and did some boat dives for part of my cert. I was a really great dive site. I got to finally see a sea turtle and I also got to see two stingrays. I hope I will get the chance to do it again before I leave.

One final note - thirty sucks.

6 Months Later

That's how long it has taken me to post something new. The holidays have come and gone. I have been to the Philippines and China. Well nothing has really changed though. I 'm in Korea right now. It's really cold. I did finally get an XBox 360, and to accommodate the next gen graphics I got a 40" Sony Bravia LCD. Everything looks better in HD. I will be leaving in Sept. to go to the Recruiter's School in San Diego. After that I will find out where I will be recruiting out of. I am hoping I can get orders to Portland or one of the burbs near it. I will update more as I find out.

To start it off Colin and I finally got to go snorkeling. We took a boat out about 15 minutes off the northan coast of Okinawa. The boat driver "chumed" the water with bread crumbs to attract the normal reef fish. It was really cool. Colin fully enjoyed it and really got to see a lot of different types of fish. Here are the pics.

Moving on to last week, I had to do helicopter crash training. Here is a link that explains more. It was pretty tough. I had a hard time on the first day, but by the second day I was actually having a little fun. I will have to do this every 1 to 4 years depending on what unit I am in.

Now moving on to tomorrow. I will be leaving tomorrow morning to go meet the ship in mainland Japan. I will be floating over to the Philipines for few weeks and then on to spend 4 days in Hong Kong. It's gonna kick some big time ass. Well that's about it for now.

120 Feet and more

I went down to 120 feet this Sunday while diving. The color really starts to wash out of things at that depth. Everything turns to a dark blue. It was pretty cool. There rest of the day we spent around the 40 foot mark. There were an assload of fish. I saw the common fish like the clown, and the parrot fish but what was cool was I finally saw an eel. Well that's about it for the weekend.

On a different note I was re-reading Derek's giant update and I am troubled by the whole we might never see Dan again. With that said Dan if you are out there please drop me a line. If anyone else has talked to him please let me know how he is doing. I try reading his journal but it's just so abstract most of the time I really don't know what's going on with him.

Also on Derek's update he did mention something about getting together when I get back. I was thinking about maybe doing some type of camping trip or similar. I was also planning on this being planned out way in advance so that we could get everyone together at the same time. I don't care if take two years I want to go on like a week long camping trip, and I want everyone there at the same time. This includes Corey and Rob too. Let me know what you guys think.

Well I went diving during lunch today at a spot 5 mins. from work. We hit 20 feet below the surface and ran right into a whole mob of these stupid jellyfish. It looked just like the jellyfish scene in Finding Nemo. We got without being hit. I would have been fine I was wearing a full suit, my friend on the other hand was in a shortie. This shit has to stop. If there was a way that global warming could effect these jellyfish I would be outside right now burning styrofoam cups and other assorted ozone unfriendly plastics.

So, last weekend we introduced Colin to the world of snorkeling. He seemed to really enjoy but we couldn't spend but five minutes in the water due to the Sea Wasp jellyfish. They have a pretty dangerous sting, so we got the hell out of the water. Here is a picture of my new nemesis.

With the start of a new weekend we decided it would be pretty cool for Colin if we completed his snorkeling equipment by getting him some fins. Mission accomplished but it took all of a Saturday. So today ( Sunday ) we went out looking for an awesome spot for snorkeling. The first beach we went to was a Japanese beach. Much to our dismay they do not allow snorkeling at that beach. No clue why but that's the rules. Next we went to a beach on the Naval base. Wouldn't you know it the little asshole above has infested the beach. I thought maybe there are none in the area. Yeah right I saw four right off the bat. Well after about three hours of trying to find a good spot to snorkel we wound up on the base we live on and went to the pool. What ever.

Diving, camping, and fighting around the world

Well I haven't been fighting. I have been camping and diving now. I am now a certified open water scuba diver. It' s pretty freaking awesome. I have done four dives now. I have seen the whole cast of Finding Nemo minus the Sharks and Rays. It's really a weird experience. If you have the opportunity to do it I highly suggest it. I'll take pics next time I go.

As far as camping, the family and I went up to a camp ground called Okuma. It's really nice. It's owned by the military so everything is almost like camping in the states, except the mass of surfers and potheads. We had a real good time. I got really sunburnt.

I have started one other thing. I started working on the guitar. I am learning pretty quickly. It's pretty easy to pick up ( I'll see if Nathan get the joke, I know his dad would). I have got a pretty good program that teaches you how to play as well as a really awesome tabs program.

The Saint's stole Bush

I cannot believe that Texans passed up on their chance to get Reggie Bush. Well the Saint's grabbed him and now things are looking good. I know they won't make it to the Super Bowl this year, but the chances of a playoff birth are looking pretty good now.

And in other sports news the Avalanche beat the Stars, and are now on their way to the second round of the NHL playoffs. And now that the Oilers beat the Red Wings I think the Avs can get their third Stanley Cup this year. We'll see. Go Avs.

Birthday and other crap

Well my birthday has come and gone. I am now 1 year away from 30. Oh well I guess. I didn't do too much for my birthday. I went to Colin's soccer practice came home and had some carrot cake and called it a day. This weekend I went to Kokusai St. in Naha and had some really good beer at the Helios brewery.

I started a new job a few weeks ago. I now work for the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU). I am the Communications Electronic Maintenance Chief. We are going on ship at the end of this week and are heading for Thailand. This will be my third time in Thailand and my third time on ship. It should be fun.

New Tatoo, Clutch concert, and other stuff

Well, it's been a little while and there is a lot to talk about. First off I got a new tattoo. The writing is Colin's name and the red would be Kaitlyn's name. It's Japanese Katakana. I got it a few weeks ago. That puts me at five now.

Last week I pulled security for Clutch. They are a kick ass band that I have been listening to since 96. They are doing a USO tour in Japan and Hawaii. The concert was awesome . After the show I got them to sign my CD cover and a picture. Everyone should check these guys out. They aren't the typical metal that I listen to, so don't avoid them just because I like them.

Colin scored his first goal in soccer a week or so ago. And then he scored his second in the same game. The final score was 2 to 0. He was so excited after the game. All he could talk about was how he was going to score three goals in the next game. Kerri and I were so proud. The only shitty part was that it had been raining so we didn't have the camcorder or camera, so it will just be a memory. Oh well.

To go with Nathan's last entry Kerri and I just celebrated our 8th anniversary. Pretty crazy huh? Who would of thought that I could be married with kids after what a crazy ass I was in high school. I couldn't ask for a better family. They really have made me a better person. Kerri is the best. I love her so much. She has put up with my shit for 9 years now and hasn't left me. That is quite a feat. But seriously, I really don't know what I would do with out her. The kids are unbelievable. Colin is the coolest little guy I know. He is all about trying to be like daddy. I hope that's a good thing. Kaitlyn, is daddy's little girl. She has me wrapped around her finger. I know when she's a teenager she will be giving me ulcers. Anyways, enough of the mush.

I have no idea when I'll be coming home. Hopefully before I leave this island. It's just so expensive to fly from here.

I am going on trip at the end of next month to Iwo Jima. I will spend my birthday on Mt. Surabachi the location of the famous Iwo Jima flag raising.

... I got the fifth gen IPod. It's pretty sweet. I never really thought much about the video, in fact I thought it was a waste to put video on such a small screen, but it actually kicks ass. Not too much new going on. I'm still planning on comming home in feb. It looks like closer to mid feb. I'll be in Oregon fo rabout 10 days. If there are any plans to get together I'm all for anything. I'll be at my mom's in Astoria. Kaite really wants to see Payton and Bella, so I do hope to stop by and see Colin and Amy as well. This time I'll actually get to see more of Nathan as well.
I put my name in the hat to go to the Horn of Africa. It will count as a deployemnt in support of OEF, which means that I won't automatically be sen to a unit that's going to Iraq when we finally leave Japan. It's sounds like a pretty good set up. I would be my own boss and my only worker seeing that I would be the on communications tech there. It's not considered a combat tour. It's more looked at as a humanitarian operation. We'll see how all that plays out this summer.

Other than that, I'm just waiting on getting an XBox 360.

It's the begining of a new year. I will join Derek in trying to blog more. We'll see. I hope to be home in early Feb. Again we'll see. Not much too new. Colin has glasses due to an astigmatism and his adult teeth are growing in behind his baby without causing them to loosen. This results in Colin having had a tooth removed. So my little buddy has had a lot happen. X-mas was great. The kids really enjoyed it. Colin got a a lot of of GI Joe Sigma 6 ad Katie got a bunch of girly stuff. That's about it for now.

Halloween and stuff

It has been a while and a lot has happened. I moved on base and got a dog ( a beagle named Copper). Got better internet ( cable) but there are so many users on one line that it really isn't that fast. I got a new job. I am now the Shipping and Receiving chief for the Comm Elect. Maint. Platoon. It's pretty good and a lot less stressful than my previous job. I am watching the mt football team, the Saints , systematically ruin an entire football season. I am still loving the moded XBox. I watched Transformers the Movie again. I remember Optimus dying but I totaly forgot about Starscream getting his shot ruined by Galvitron ( a.k.a. Megatron for those that don't follow). Finally Halloween was tonight. The Japanese were really funny to see. They were really over the top as usual but very polite and enthusiastic. Oh year I'm running a marathon on Dec. 5th and I 'll be home for X-Mas. Later.

I got an email the other day that I am finally being offered a house on base. Me and Kerri checked it out and it looks pretty good. It will a town house duplex style home with 3 bedrooms and a decent yard. The best part will be that I can finally get highspeed internet. I will now be able to use imeem to it's fullest. I still plan on comming home at the end October but after that fiasco I had where I got stuck in Korea I will be buying my plane tickets. With the total for my family being around $3000 I will have to do some finicial wizardry to get home. We'll see though. Nathan I have to say thanks for helping me out with a great parrenting tip. You told that when you cuss that if right after you say aa random word such as peanut butter louder than the cuss word that the child will only remember hearing that louder and harmless word. Fucking A PEANUT BUTTER it worked. I tried that last night and to Kerri's dismay the kids were yelling eanut butter all night. Thanks man.

DUDE! What the Fuck? This was the most mind numbingly painful trip home. First off I must say that it was awesome being back at home and seeing everyone at the reunion. Wish I didn't live and Japan, that way I could everyone more often. Anyways, back the lecture at hand, my brother Jon gave me a ride to Sea-Tac and that was uneventful. Little did I know that as soon as he dropped me off and left, that my simple little trip across the Pacific was going to become a fight to retain what little sanity I have. I was told by the Airman at the military flight desk that I wasn't going to be able to get from Seattle to Japan on the flight that was leaving that night ( the down side of flying Space available), but he said that I could make to Osan, Korea and get a flight from there. Sounds easy enough and quite adventurous too. Little important side note Nate Dean was also there with his wife (" the only black chick in Astoria High School"). So I get to Osan, Korea no problem and Nate and I begin to try and get a flight to Japan. Not happening. So Nate winds up calling a friend that he just so happens to know in Korea. We wound up hanging with that guy the whole time. Next day try to get a flight home. Again not happening. Next day same story. So I eventually got flight out of Seoul for $311 that put in Japan. SO needless to say I will not take another Space Available flight ever again. That was fucking nuts.I couldn't imagine how it would have gone with out Nate and his friend. Oh yeah this shot is weird too. I almost ran into some Marines from my unit ( I avoided them though). I was actually suposed to be in Korea this month but they didn't need to go.

Hockey... It's Back?

It sounds like hockey will be in for a rough couple of years. No more major network broadcasting and I'm pretty sure that ESPN cut thier coverage of the ill-fated sport. In an attempt to make the NHL more enjoyable they have nixed the the whole tie thing and brough back penalty shot shoot out. This is the coolest thing I have seen in a while. Thank you to Nathan for putting it out there on his blog. I have spent the last three days finding shit. I have found every hous eI have lived ( minus the ones in Astoria) and every place that I have worked while in the Marine Corps ( minus Okinawa). I've been looking fo ra lot of the bigger sites around the world ( eiffle tower, the Statue of Liberty, the Giza Pyramids and so on). I am basicly obsessed. As far as me comming home I should fly into Sea-Tac on the 30th of July. I will more than likely be leaving the 13th or the 16th ( flights are only on Tues. and Sat.) Every one at work has approved the whole thing with me leaving and every will be in South Korea anyways so they really don't care. We really need to get something going while I'm in town besides the reunion. Let me know if anyone has any ides. I hope that dan will be in town too. I have seen that guy in long ass time.

Movies and August

Before anyone says " You haven't seen that yet" I know that it has been out for a while, but I finally got around to watching Boondock Saints. That was a really awesome movie. Really wish I had seen it sooner. The ending had a good twist and really finished up the movie well. I also saw Life Aquatic and The Aviator recently. Don't even bother with Life Aquatic. I had a real hard time finding anything funny during the entire flick. The Aviator on the other hand was good just a tad long.
I'm going to try and get home in August now that I am not going to South Korea. I am going to try to fly space available so I might not be guaranteed to get on a flight, but it is a free ticket to Seattle. I will try to get there for the class reunion. We'll see.

Henry Rollins was here in Oki the other day on a USO type tour of teh Pacific bases. It was pretty cool to meet the man in person, but also a little depressing. He is obvisously not as young as I remembered, and not quite as big either. It's good to see that some musicians from our glory days support the troops seeing that we had some pretty anti-government groups ( fuck you I won't do what you tell me) that we listened to in high school. Other than that not much going on here. THe kids are taking swimming lessons and are doing well. I should be comming home in October for almost a month. Definitlty need to get something going for that time frame.

I recently bough the new System of a Down and the new NIN. Both are really good and defintily worth the buy. I must say that SOAD has out out their best album yet. Each song on the album is really good. The best songs are Vileont Pornography and Cigaro. NIN's new album was'nt as good as Mezmerize but still kicks a lot of ass ( I'm sure Derek is going to throgh a fit about that). I really like Only.

With summer right on our heels, it is the time of year in the Marine Corps when a lot of Maines are transfering back to the states. With that said, I am actually getting a little homesick. I just miss being able to get out and go somewhere. The island really is'nt that big and I just feel like there will be no getting off this rock anytime soon. Sounds like a whole mess of complaining but shit this is what this blog thing is for.

All right. I know that it has been a while, but I've been busy as shit. I have graduated my leadership and am back at work. I had a lot fun at the course and learned quite a bit. Now that I am back work I am super busy. We are going through an inspection of how we do maintenance and the way we do the paperwork that is involved. I am getting torn apart. I am good at fixing the gear but my paperwork just blows. Oh well I can easily fix all the discrepancies.
I had my birthday last week. I spent it doing duty ( a 24 hour security post). I got Doom 3(Limited Edition) and First to Fight. Doom 3 is fucking awesome. It really takes a lot to freak me out but this game pulled it off. I really like the fact that it has the old Dooms on it. It felt like 1995 all over again. I also really enjoyed First to Fight for about two hours, then it got really fucking hard and stopped being fun. I will still continue to play it just because it's a Marine Corps FPS and well shit I'd feel less of a Marine if I didn't beat the damn thing.
I got my small pox vaccination two days ago. I am really worried about the whole ease in which I can cross contaminate other parts of my body. I have been constantly using hand sanitizer to ensure the shit doesn't spread.
I'm still planning on going to the reunion, but it is a possibility that I will be in South Korea doing a routine field exercise (not war related at all). If not oh well.

I know that it has been a whlie since my last post but, I have been really busy with a professional enlisted academy. The course is a seven week course aimed at making a Marine Staff Sergeant better in tactics, written communictaions, and in general a better leader. I actually enjoy the course, as it has helped me become better with my english skills. It's a little on the tough side and very time consuming. so, please be patient with my posting. I am really crunched for time. Other than that, nothing new has happened. Nathan, I want to say- good job with the new TV. It looks awsome. If any one can clue me in on who "andballz" is. I'm thinking thta is my man Dan. Speaking of Dan, his posts on his journal are really hard for me to follow. If confusion is the goal than let me be the first to say " you win". I wish I had more to say but, I don't.

More than meets the eye??

I have spent the last three nights watching the Transformers. I have the entire 4 seasons on DVD now. Let me tell you the animators did not have their shit in one sock. Their were a lot of little glitches here and there. At one time Megatron had broke the Washington monument in half. Of course Optimus was there to save but he was also there to watch himself fix. There were errantly two Optimus's on the screen at the same time. There are also times were there were two Starscreams at the same time, wrong character drawn talking and many more. I still do love the entire show and will watch it over and over again. When done with the Transfomers I am going to move on to G.I. Joe season one to season 2 oart 1. Hopefully Rhino ( the DVD company making Transformers and G.I. Joe) will get off their asses and make the rest of the series. Yes I am a grown man watching cartoons and some may find it sad, but you can get. Old school cartoons rule and are a hell of a lot better than the mindless shit that is on tv today ( save Spongebob and Fairly Odd Parents).

Well it is finally done. The NHL commissioner has put the nail in the coffin of this years NHL season. I am really dissapointed with this decision but I am also pissed at the players. They make an ass pile of money to do something that I would love to do, but won't allow the owners to impose a salary cap. Terrible. The only upside to this is that it is happening while I am in Japan. I was only going to get to see a small handfull of games anyways. Oh well. I did buy ESPN NHL 2K5 and it rocks. It will help me get buy.

Good to be back

It's been about two weeks now since I've been back. It feels great to br back with my family and to finally be back in my own house. I know I was only gone a month but it seem a lot longer. Not too much else going. I got a messege from Heather Ficken about the 10 year reunion. It scared me at first because it hit my yahoo email accoutn, but I realized that it was through classmates.com. I guess I'll go if I can get the time off.

I just can't buy off on the whole being friends with the Predator thing. Resident Evil 2 was pretty cool. Team America had me pissing in my pants. America, Fuck Yeah.

As you can see I figured out how to do some changing in my blog. I need to say thanks to Nathan and Derek for thier help. Mad props to my peeps. I should be leaving in about 1 to 2 weeks. I have never missed Okinawa until now. When I get I am going to buy some new golf clubs and hit the golf courses right away( after spending some quality time with the fam of course). I need to catch up on my X-Box time as well. I have'nt played since late Dec. I have'nt even got any where on Halo 2 and now there are some more sweet games that have come out. I watched Napolean Dynamite for the 5th time today. That movie is awesome ( Kerri hated it, but I don't blame her it can be pretty odd at times). Well back to work.

I still have no idea how to do a lot of things on this blog. I look at Nathan's and he's got links to all sorts of shit. How do I do that? Also how do I add pics to each posting? If anyone can give me step by step instructions ( remember it's me so I might be a little slow) I would appreciate it. On another subject I have pissing myself laughing the last couple of nights. I called my the last night and founf out some interesting news. My brother Nick is going to go to Quantico VA. this summer and will be going through officer canidate school. That makes 3 out 4 Boutin brothers that have servd in the Marine Corps. I guess that is what we do. She also said that Aaron is going to join the Coast Gaurd. He must be the only one of us with common sense. With Nick going to an officer that will mean that I will have to salute him if we are both in uniform. How messed up is that? I will have been in for 9 years on Feb. 12th and he will outrank me upon completion of OCS. And in few short years he will make more money than me. Again how messed up is that? On another subject my mother also informed me that AHS will no longer be running the German and Franch classes next year. They cannot find the funding to support the two classes and will only offer Spanish. This will eventually turn into other classes that they find not necessary being cut. I really can't understand cutting education but not cuting or raising the cost of some of the sports that the school offers. Don't get me wrong, I think that organized sports are a critical part of developing a child to be a productive person but come on lets not cut education. With that said I'll post more later. I have to get back to work.

Well it is over the two week time mark and I am begining to hate Thailand. I do enloy some things but in general the whole place is a festering pool of std laiden hookers and foul smells.
Here is a list of what I hate about Thailand:
1. Every other block there is a rotten sewer stench.
2. Every ten feet some jerk wants to sell me an "armani suit" ( I did get two made for me)
3. Every five feet I get sexually harassed by the std laidened hookers.
4. The whole buying process requires at least 10 mins. of just bartering.
5. The food is hard on the intestines.
6.No regard for pedestrian traffic. I saw a group of school kids damn near get plowed by a tourit bus on many occasions.
7. Boys Town. ( Very scary)
8. Fat old europeans with before mentioned hookers.
What I like about Thailand:
1. Cheap knockoff clothing.
2. Cheap dvd's that sometimes are still in the theaters.
3. The average person is extremely nice.
4. Cheap electronics.
I work at night so I only go out into Pattaya beach during the day. The beach on the hotel grounds is filled with fat russian men ( who have no problem sporting the speedo) and half naked russian women. After all is said and done I'd rather be in Japan where everything at least is some what familiar and normal there. I would like to throw out this disclaimer though. I am very happy to be here in support of the Tsunami victims. The portion of Thailand that I am in has been unaffected for the most part by the devistation. I feel a deep sorrow for those who have lost loved ones and all of their belongings. So please do not take my negative waves for the common ugly american attitude. I just hate to see such lack of morales and common courtesy for the average human being. I really have no intentions of hurting the feelingsof the average local. I should be home within the next month. I'll keep posting when I get the chance.

Well I'm here. It's going well. We are slated to be here for about 45 to 60 days. We are somewhat far away from the total destruction. We are staying in a hotel and take buses back and forth to work. I am taking meds to prevent any diseases that are out here and we get bottled water to drink. It' not really that bad being here. We work in shifts of 8 hours and 16 hgours off. I have the 5:00 to 1:00 shift. The other day Dan rather was here and interviewed my Marines. I avoided him for the most part. I will be keeping up with the blog as much as I can. I will be leaving for Uttapoa Thailand tommorow night. I'll be gone for aprox. 2 mos. or so. I should be out of the messy areas as Uttapa is not really that close to the hard hit areas. So that is how I'll be ringing in the new year. I'm really looking forward to being able to go and do something good for another country. I will do my best to keep in touch with everyone the best I can. I will more than likely have some kind of internet capabilities but I'm not sure when and for how long. I know it's been a while but I 've been really swamped with nothing to do and I've just been really lazy lately and have no time to upate my blog. Anyways, I am now a pre-master ninja in the Marine Corps Martial Arts program. I only have two more belts to go (brown and black). I have pics and still don't know how to put on my blog so I'll be emailing them to everyone individualy. I had a really good X-mas. It was awesome watching the kids open their gifts. We got Colin a lot of legos, transformers, and some G.I. Joes( yes I'm re-living my child hood through my son). Kaitlyn got the typical girly stuff like a doll house and acsessories. Kerri got me these really cool Japaneese wooden swords. All in all despite the 70 degree weather it was a great day.

Playoffs

My fantasy football team (unlike my fav. NFL team the Saints) clinched a playoff spot. Sweeet. More pain for my body this week. I know I'm whinning but this martial arts class is 8 hours a day of being thrown, choked, punched, kicked, countered and thrown, worn out through combat conditioning, and in general just plain exaustion. I don't mind any of theese things by themselves, but combined they are just killing me. I am learning some cool shit though. On monday we will be doing an amphbiious traing drill. We will fight in the ocean and then run, and low crawl the length of the beach. It will come to end eventually. Any ways look for more photos in the future from Kerri's ophoto page.

I really don't want to go to work tommorow. I will start week 2 of of 3 week course in Marine Corps martial arts. I am so tired of being thrown to the ground, punched in the stomache, and in general I am tired of bing worn out. We doing exersizes that would wear anyone out for two hours every morning, followed up by fighting each other for two hours, then some class room time, and then we learn some new throws or chokes. It's really hard. But I will be a better person for it. Yeah. If any one has a good DVD label and cover sight I would greatly appreciate a link.

I'm back up. Finally. First things first. I was on the net for an hour before my pc crashed. So yes Nathan I hit your blog and shortly after that my connection went to shit. I was'nt being a jerk. Okinawa is pretty damn cool. Driving on the other side of the road has become second nature. We get all movies and games a week late. I have 6 TV channels and football comes on at 2:00 AM. We live in a some what trditional japaneese house. It is 1200 sq. ft. and is realy nice. We have two cars a Nissan Laurel and a Nissan Prarie. I am currently becoming a Marine Corps martial arts instructor. This is a Marine thing and has nothing to do with me being in japan, I would be doing this if I was in the states as well. I will need mailing addresses emailed to me from everyone so we can send some things from Japan to everyone. I will talk to every one later. Sayanara. Out.

Yes I know it has been a very long time since I last made an entry in my blof( I missed all of aug. completly), but if you had dial up that was painfully slow you would same. Anyways I am in Astoria like the title says. This fucking place is crazy. I left Astoria ten years ago and it was on the verge of being the Gary Indianna of Oregon. Now they are fixing it up and it really does'nt seem half bad( until you see the majority of population and realize that this place has the biggest collection of flannel wearing idiots on the south side of the Columbia). I am now under a month left in the USA and still don't know if I am going to have home when I get to Japan. But I will have a car when I get there. So I do feel a litlle on the worried side.

Today I had I to go to work at 4:45 am( my regular hours are night classes 5:30 pm to Midnight) so the 1st Sgt (high ranking non officer) could give us a safety brief for the four day weeken dthis weekend. A lot of it was no drinking this no drinking that, but one thing that I just could not fucking handle was when she had a guy that was in the brig foor 8 years on drug charges talk to us about what he had done. Basicly he got trafficing. We had this Capt. ask if he was using and if so how did he make it past the piss test. He said he had been using for 6 months and how he got atound the piss tests was a chemical that he would buy from GNC behind the counter. This is the part that bugs. He was forced to go into detail telling all of theese youmg Marines how to get away with drug use by beating the piss tests. How fucking dense can you be to them not to do it but explain to them how to get away with it. Any ways.

Well I finally got my orders. I am heading east. The far east. Okinawa Japan. I'm ok with this, except I won't see the US very much over the next three years. The good thing is I will be receiving $892 more a paycheck for cost of living, and beer is really cheap over there. I am buying a Nissan Laurel from a good friend that is already over there., which I will be driving on the other side of the road. That'll be fun the couple of weeks. I'll have a good chance of seeing Austalia while I'm there, as well as Thailand (again), Korea and possibly eastern Russia. I should be comming up to Oregon around the first week of Sept. Nathan, I will try to keep up on posting more and I changed my settings so anyone can comment. Anyways I'll holla at ya'll later. Push the little daisies and make em come up.

Yes it has been a while, but. who cares. I have nothing to talk about except I have been on a three day beer binge. Other than that nothing new going on. I will comming up to Oregon in a few months( Sept). If you can clear some time we should all meet at someones house. I will be graduating on Sept. 3rd. So any day around the 10th will be good. I finally saw Nathan's tattoo tonight. I like it! In fact I am gonna go get exactly like next time I get paid enough. Not really. Now Derek an Colin need to get one. Derek is a mild mannered Safeway manager, yet he has found the time to belittle someone enough to make them cry. I am a marine and i ahve made someone feel like shit in almost a year.
